During my 2 years of working for award winning branding
and packaging agency "Snow Donuts", I had the privilege to work on a wide variety of projects, spanning from packaging
design all the way to creating entire websites. Here are some
of the projects I've helped bring to life, with more on the way as they're being realised.

../Wood Loop

As stated on the Snow Donuts website:
"The Dutch furniture sector makes considerable
demands on the natural raw material wood.
Every year, 635 kilotons of wood are consumed.

Unfortunately, as much as 20% of this is lost
during the production process and for the most
part MDF and chipboard.

The loss can be reduced if the recycling
of wood waste is organized on a larger scale,
easier, cleanly and more efficiently. That is
why Koninklijke CBM, the branch association of
furniture manufacturers and interior builders,
has set up Wood Loop: an innovative organization
that enables every wood processor, retailer
and panel material producer to recycle MDF and
chipboard easily and affordably.

SNOW DONUTS was responsible for the Wood Loop branding. The name sticks immediately, the logo nice and loose, the warm color palette, the positive line that connects the people in the chain; sustainable together!"

As my senior designers had created
the branding for Wood Loop, my role in the Wood
Loop story was that of an animator and UI
designer. When it comes to the animation, I created
a 2D animation for the website that explains
how the entire process works. For this I used a
graphic created by the senior designers, and animated it in After Effects.

The key focus here was to add enough
movement to make the process clearer and more
eye-catching, while not going over the top as
to distract the viewer from reading the text as
they are browsing the page and are trying to
figure out what Wood Loop is about or absorbing
the individual steps of the process.

When it comes to the website,
the goal was the create the main pages: the homepage,
"over wood loop", "hoe werkt het?" and "actueel".
All these pages were designed with previously
created printing material in mind as to keep
the design focused and in line with the brand.
Note that the names of the pages are not final
and simply placeholders.

The homepage contains a short version
of all other pages and is mainly there to catch
the interest of the visitor and make them click
deeper into the website, with the ultimate goal
of making people sign up for the program.

//Click here to look at the homepage.

The "over wood loop" section dives deeper
into the behind-the-scenes of the Wood Loop process,
as well as a pitch why it's beneficial to take
part. It includes an FAQ section for any further
questions people might have.

On the "hoe werkt het?" page,
it explains how to take part in the program and provides a sign-up section.

Finally, the "actueel" section is filled
with news and articles about Wood Loop in order
to provide updates to people who enroll or want
to enroll, while also boosting SEO.
